I've spent over 15 years building, scaling, and rescuing software systems. At Atlassian, I helped build the backend platform that migrated enterprise customers like Mercedes-Benz, PwC, Bosch, and major banks worldwide from on-premise to cloud — joining the Migrations org when it was 15 people and staying through its growth to 300. I also worked in the Jira Automation org, enabling customers like Nubank, Claro, and Telefonica to use automation at scale.

Before and after that: Commonwealth Bank engineer in digital with Insurance products, Qantas engineering for Qantas Business Rewards, smaller startups and companies across Australia and Brazil across different cloud providers and DBs.

Today I use AI as a practical tool in my daily engineering work — not as a buzzword. I'm particularly interested in a problem I think we'll see a lot more of: "newborn legacy" — vibe-coded prototypes that shipped fast but now can't be maintained or extended.
